We are aware that the news has been reporting today, that you can obtain a prescription from your GP for weight loss injections, otherwise known as Mounjaro injections.
There is a strict eligibility for these injections, such as a BMI of 40 or over, and suffer from four out of five of the following conditions: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and vascular disease, high cholesterol, or obstructive sleep apnoea.
Prescriptions for the drug will not necessarily be available from all local GPs, in some cases, they will come from other primary care services.
