Dr Nichols has asked me to provide you with an update regarding his current absence from the surgery.
Shortly after Christmas Dr Nichols was diagnosed with a cancerous lesion at the back of his mouth; he has recently had surgery to remove the lesion and his doctors are confident that his cancer was caught early enough for it to be treated effectively.
He will need to undergo some radiotherapy to ensure that there is no further spread of the cancer, so we are expecting him to be absent for at least another 3 months.
